Our hard-working Shipping Department would like to deliver an important message to you about placing orders online (whether that’s with us or another retailer for your personal shopping): To be on the safe side, we highly recommend that you or another trusted individual are available in-person to receive delivered packages.
Why all the fuss? We’re sure you’ve heard on the news about people pilfering packages right off of strangers’ front doors, and unfortunately, these instances become more commonplace during the busy holiday season. While this crime occurs most often during November and December, we suggest you take precautions throughout the year.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when dealing with an online purchase:
- Triple-check your shipping address for accuracy. If possible, deliver packages to your business, not a residential area.
- If you request signature release on your shipment, please note that you run the risk of a package possibly being stolen or tampered with.
- If the tracking number indicates that the package has been delivered, but you haven’t received it, you may be experiencing theft. Please give us a call as soon as possible, so that we can take appropriate actions and file a complaint.
