An Inside Look: Shipping Process

If you were ever curious about what goes on in our warehouse, today’s your lucky day. Here’s a quick overview of what happens when you place an order. Plus, we added pictures to make this boring, but important topic semi-exciting 🙂

FIRST – After you’ve placed your order on our website, our shipping team receives it and picks your order by winding through our warehouse maze full of tubs and tubs of products. Here is one aisle:

NEXT – As we pick items, we make sure that we are grabbing the right one by comparing the Product Name and barcode (pictured below). About 99% of our products are barcoded. One exception to the barcode is our gift boxes because barcode stickers are not exactly the prettiest decoration. But, don’t worry, we count those boxes very carefully.

FINALLY – All the items in your order are scanned and checked for breakage/defects, and just to triple-check, manually counted. Then, it’s packed up for our UPS driver. Here’s a nicely stacked rack of ready-to-be-delivered boxes:

Your order’s contents, as indicated above, go through at least 3 different inspections. We hate dealing with incorrect items and returns as much as you do, so we make every effort to prevent the chaos from happening.


  • When you receive your package, please open your box carefully and check it thoroughly.
  • Sometimes, the person who packed your order gets a little creative and completely covers items in bubble wrap, so you might not see them immediately.
  • Check every nook and cranny, and double-check before you throw out the packing material!
  • Compare your order with the invoice. If you ordered 6 pieces, but only found 5 pieces, the invoice should say: 5/6
  • If you’re missing something that should have arrived in your order, please check with your employees first. We’ve found that sometimes, your employees get too excited about new merchandise and display them in your store without telling you… and, we don’t blame them. We’d be excited, too.
